Rimini Protokoll — Home Visit Europe

2015

In November 2015, as part of the Akcent Festival the Archa Theatre presented the House Visit Europe project by renowned German creative group Rimini Protokoll.

Helgard Haug, Stefan Kaegl and Daniel Wetzel – the trio of creators who form Rimini Protokoll – are regarded as the most interesting representatives of world documentary theatre. They won the European prize "New Theatre Situations" and a Silver Lion at the Venice Biennale. Rimini Protokoll create projects on the borders of theatre, performance, live art and visual art, which instead of professional artists feature what they call "experts on life".

The House Visit Europe project takes place in private homes. A dozen or so spectators meet around a table as though playing some sort of party game. The participants are in an original and humorous way led to consider the future of the old continent, to confront their ideas, to analyze their own fears, disappointments and hopes.
